Since closing in 1998, the former airport site has been renovated and redeveloped. The airport site was used in the music video for Norwegian artist Hanah's 2001 song "Hollywood Lie". And offices has been built. Parts of the former airport have been preserved, including the control tower, the terminal building and two aircraft hangars. In the western part of the peninsula, a 50m x 20m section of former runway 06/24 has been restored in memory of the airport.
